Currently codenamed S1, the device will have a 9.4-inch capacitive touch screen (1280 x 800 resolution), run Android 3.0 and will be powered by Tegra 2 processor, according to the "two highly trusted independent sources" quoted from Engadget. Is focused on the company's Qriocity, music, games, eBooks and video on demand service that recently launched in Europe. The game pad is preloaded with Sony PS One games and a Media Remote Bravia. It also has front and rear cameras-as well as a USB port. Buttons include volume on/off, and possibly a q for Qriocity. There is also a built-in IR port allows you to control other devices.
The tablet will have a "wrap" an open design that imitates stuffed in a Pocket paperback, or magazine folded back on itself, such that one page is visible. In terms of functionality, this will presumably the Tablet viewing angle enough to comfortably touch-type when placed on a table, make the operation with one hand, a little less taxing on the wrist and to reduce the pair that makes 10-inch Tablet uncomfortable to hold a hand for an extended period of time.
The price for the WiFi-only version of S1 is $ 600 with a target date for the ship September 2011. Remember, this is still very early, so that nothing can change. The product can also be canned, but hopefully that won't happen.
