LG has used a parallax barrier technology applied to create the effect without 3D glasses on the screen. Technology poses a series of slots in the front of the LCD screen that block the light in a way that ensures a user left and right eye see different images, creating the illusion of depth of the 3D image.

Optimus 3D is based on a 1 GHz processor dual core OMAP4 Texas Instruments. Has a HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) and supports the DLNA network (Digital Living Network Alliance) that enables easy transfer of pictures and video between devices.

LG did not say what kind of operating system uses the phone and could not be reached immediately for comment.

The electronics giant in South Korea will also show two additional Smartphones at Mobile World Congress, the Optimus 2 X black and Optimus, details of which were announced earlier.
