Not as useful on the desk as we would have liked

This State Agency Gets a new boss, and he wants to make some adjustments to the look of the place, pilot reports, a fish on the scene.

Fish "his Secretary used to sit with his desk in front of the wall, instead of his Office," he says. "Since I wanted a different feeling for the Office, he wanted his desk rotated 90 degrees to face its door of the Office."

This means that a request has to go to the call center, which in turn generates a ticket for the work to be done--and this is not quite fast enough for a couple of people not EN in Office that decide to help.

They contact the call center and tell the support rep to close the ticket. Then pick up the desktop and rotate it 90 degrees, and the work done.

When the Secretary asked the pair on a cord which they removed, you say "Oh, you don't have this cable. All printers are working out the USB cable. "

Within a few minutes, call fish Gets a high priority by the call center: Secretary of the boss cannot print and no longer have access to the network.

And it doesn't take long to understand why. "Ethernet cable was interrupted when the tour has been moved to 90 degrees--the connector was still in the vessel wall, but separated from his friend CAT-6," grumbles fish.

"And the cable they removed? It was the power cord to the printer, who was also on the network.

"As I replaced the cable and the cable and verified that everything worked, the Secretary said, ' I think they need to do their jobs rather than yours. '"
